Blademir Angulo Audeves, a Mexican national, was arrested on July 8th , 2025, and charged with Harboring of an Illegal Alien, Knowingly Employing Unauthorized Aliens, Improper Entry by an Alien, and Alien in Possession of a Firearm.
Angulo made his initial appearance in federal court on Friday, July 11th.
Homeland Security Investigations launched an investigation in March 2025 following allegations that Angulo was employing undocumented workers, without work authorization, at his taco restaurants in the Phoenix area.
The investigation revealed that at least 12 illegal aliens were working for Angulo, some of whom were residing at his home in Laveen, Arizona, or at a secondary residence on 16th Avenue.
On July 8th, Homeland Security executed federal search warrants at Angulo’s main residence, restaurant locations, and secondary residence.
Agents encountered several Mexican citizens without legal authorization to be in the United States at both residents, arresting them and Angulo.
During the search of his Laveen home, agents found three firearms along with hundreds of rounds of ammunition in the closet of the master bedroom.
Immigration records show Angulo was previously encountered in the U.S illegally in 2011 and voluntarily departed through Nogales, Arizona, in May of 2021.
At the time of his arrest, Angulo lacked legal permission to be in the U.S., prohibiting him from possessing firearms or ammunition.
At Angulo’s taco restaurants, Homeland Security also identified more Mexican citizens without legal authorization to be present or employed in the U.S.
Two individuals, Christian Sagaste-Garcia and Jose Luis Ambriz-Cortes, were encountered by Homeland Security on the same operation. They were both arrested and charged with Re-entry of a Removed Alien. They had been previously removed from the U.S. in October 2024 and February 2013, respectively.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide Department of Justice Initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration, dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and keeping our communities safe.

Carlos Munoz-Perez, an illegal alien, Mexican national, and pedophile sex-offender with prior convictions for illegal entry and unlawful sexual activity with a minor was apprehended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents near the San Pedro River.
In a statement released to several social media platforms by Chief Patrol Agent (CPA) of the U.S. Border Patrol Tucson Sector Sean McGoffin, the agency stated that Munoz-Perez was arrested on Saturday, June 22nd, and a records check of the suspect revealed his disturbing history.
“Agents conducted records checks on the subject and learned he had prior convictions for illegal entry and unlawful sexual activity with a minor,” McGoffin wrote. The Chief revealed, “He was sentenced to 12 years for Sexual Exploitation/Child-Prod Performance in 2011.”

According to the Tucson Sector of CBP, Munoz-Perez is facing charges for his illegal re-entry as a previously removed convicted felon. McGoffin wrote, “Thanks to the vigilance and determination of agents, this predator will not reach our communities and will not victimize more of our children.”
The Border Patrol is collaborating with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in its ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed against him as applicable.

DHS shared information about twenty captured illegal alien criminals from the Los Angeles area described as the “Worst of the worst—LA Edition.” Seven of the criminals were sex offenders, five of them committed sex crimes against minors.
In 2015, a federal investigation found that the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) body scanners consistently failed to detect dangerous objects and concealed weapons as much as 96% of the time. In response, Arizona Republican Congressman Eli Crane (R-AZ02) has introduced the Aviation Risk Mitigation and Security (ARMS) Act to compel TSA to share its test findings with Congress.
According to a release from Congressman Crane, the 2015 investigation conducted by the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Inspector General into the efficacy of the agency’s Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) resulted in the TSA terminating the collection and submission of testing data and classifying its findings.
“This lack of transparency leaves significant gaps in our security,” Crane’s office said, “especially given that U.S. airports still rely on AIT to screen passengers and luggage.” The Congressman’s staff explained that Congress must have access to the latest data in order to guarantee TSA has the tools it needs to successfully identify and neutralize any threats.
“I’m proud to introduce legislation requiring the TSA to provide Congress with updated covert testing data. In light of the legitimate security risks outlined in a recent DHS advisory bulletin, we cannot afford to remain in the dark about where the system is failing,” Crane said. “The ARMS Act would strengthen congressional oversight and lay the groundwork for meaningful solutions. We have a duty to mitigate the TSA’s longstanding deficiencies, and I strongly urge my colleagues to support this timely measure.”
Crane cited the increased risks presented in a recent National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security which warned of “violent extremists in the Homeland independently mobilizing to violence,” in response to President Donald Trump’s targeted strikes against Iranian nuclear weapons production facilities.
In a post to X announcing the ARMS Act, Crane wrote, “Under the Obama administration, the DHS Office of the Inspector General found that in 96% of instances, TSA Officers using Advanced Imaging Technology failed to detect hidden threat items.
“The ARMS Act would enhance TSA transparency and allow the Homeland Security Committee to properly ensure we are doing everything possible to keep the American people safe.”

Senator Ruben Gallego lionized a California Senator detained for disrupting an immigration-related media event by the Trump administration.
California Senator Alex Padilla was detained for disrupting a news conference on immigration by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem in Los Angeles amid the ongoing anti-ICE protests and riots.
Federal agents removed and handcuffed Padilla on the belief he was an unidentified man breaching the news conference. While the senator admitted he wasn’t originally included or expected in the news conference, he claimed he did identify himself.
“After identifying myself and trying to ask a question, I was aggressively pushed out of the room, forced to the ground, and handcuffed,” said Padilla.

Videos of the incident show Padilla initially interrupted the news conference without identifying himself, walking quickly toward Noem at her podium while interrupting her with questions. Reports also indicate Padilla’s attire didn’t confirm his insistence after interrupting Noem and while being detained that he was, in fact, a U.S. Senator.

Gallego sided with Padilla’s version of events. The senator called the arrest a “raw abuse of power,” implying a pattern of the current administration acting unlawfully in regard to immigration.

Noem said in interviews that Padilla was arrested for interrupting the news conference without identifying himself and engaging in troubling behaviors. Noem shared that she met with Padilla after his arrest to hear his concerns.
“This man burst into the room, started lunging towards the podium, interrupting me, and elevating his voice, and was stopped, did not identify himself, and was removed from the room,” said Noem.
After he interrupted our press conference with law enforcement, I met with Senator Padilla for 15 minutes. We probably disagree on 90% of the topics but we agreed to exchanged phone numbers and we will continue to talk—that is the way it should be in this country.
The arrest preceded a federal court order reverting California National Guard authority back to California Governor Gavin Newsom starting Friday. The Trump administration appealed.
Gallego chose to raise awareness of Padilla’s arrest as an injustice before upcoming anti-ICE protests nationwide on President Donald Trump’s birthday — Flag Day — which many believe will devolve into violence, given the recent riots in Los Angeles and spurts of violence emerging at anti-ICE demonstrations locally, like the incident on Tuesday in Peoria in which protesters assaulted an officer.
The organization behind the coordinated protests that have many concerned, No Kings, has listed dozens of protests across Arizona for Saturday: Anthem, Buckeye, Bullhead City, Casa Grande, Cottonwood, Douglas, Flagstaff, Gilbert, Glendale, Globe, Green Valley, Kingman, Maricopa, Mesa, Nogales (two), Oracle, Oro Valley, Page, Patagonia, Payson, Peoria, Phoenix (two), Prescott, Safford, Scottsdale (two), Sedona (two), Show Low, Sierra Vista, Sun City, Surprise (two), Queen Creek, Tempe, Tucson, Vail, Williams, and Yuma.
In a pre-mobilization call on Thursday, No Kings insisted their protests remain peaceful.
Governor Katie Hobbs offered public support for the anti-ICE rioters in California. Hobbs condemned President Donald Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to control the days-long rioting in the state. The governor called the president’s actions “ineffective and dangerous,” and disrespectful of local law enforcement.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a new incentive on Monday from the Trump administration for illegal aliens who self-deport through the CBP Home App. DHS announced that illegal aliens who self-deport using the application will be forgiven for any civil fines or penalties for failing to depart, receive cost-free travel, and will still receive a $1,000 exit bonus to be paid upon confirmation of their return through the app.
The announcement came as violent riots in Los Angeles continued into their fourth day with mounting attacks against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials and vehicles.
“If you are here illegally, use the CBP Home App to take control of your departure and receive financial support to return home,” Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.
She appealed to illegal aliens still in the country, “If you don’t, you will be subjected to fines, arrest, deportation and will never be allowed to return. If you are in this country illegally, self-deport NOW and preserve your opportunity to potentially return the legal, right way.”
Today, DHS is announcing illegal aliens who self-deport through the CBP Home App will receive forgiveness of any failure to depart fines, in addition to cost-free travel and a $1,000 exit bonus.

According to reporting from the BBC, and Politico 65, illegal aliens have successfully participated in “Project Homecoming,” and received the offered free travel and $1,000 stipend. DHS told the Daily Signal that over 40,000 illegal aliens had registered with the government via the CBP Home App as of May 5th. As reported by NPR, Adam Isacson of the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), a nonprofit immigrant advocacy group, estimated that ICE detention centers are currently operating at approximately 125% capacity.
“If you are here illegally, self-deportation is the best, safest, and most cost-effective way to leave the United States to avoid arrest. DHS is now offering illegal aliens financial travel assistance and a stipend to return to their home country through the CBP Home App,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem explained at the time.
ICE confirmed to the outlet that “some ICE facilities are experiencing temporary overcrowding due to recent increases in detention populations. We are actively implementing measures to manage capacity while maintaining compliance with federal standards and our commitment to humane treatment. The reality is that these accusations do not reflect ICE’s policies or practices.”
“This is the safest option for our law enforcement, aliens, and is a 70% savings for U.S. taxpayers. Download the CBP Home App TODAY and self-deport,” Noem said.
