All across State 48, the youngest of the contiguous United States, from Flagstaff to Bisbee and from Yuma to Queen Creek, patriots across Arizona will be joining together to celebrate the 249th anniversary of American independence with friends, family, fireworks and fry-bread; hot dogs, hamburgers and high temperatures (and hopefully misters).
No matter how you like to celebrate the 4th of July, be it with the Stalwart folk of Arizona’s Mountains and the Mogollon Rim, or the hardy denizens of the Valley of the Sun, undismayed by triple digits scorchers, you’ll find the best events for the Independence Day weekend right here.

As we approach Independence Day perhaps the words of President Thomas Jefferson can remind us of the cause our freedom that out Founding Fathers fought and died for:
“Whenever the people are well informed, they can be trusted with their own government; that whenever things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, they may be relied on to set them to rights.”
–Thomas Jefferson to Richard Price, January 8, 1789.
