Congressman Ciscomani Enters Final Quarter With $2.3 Million In Campaign Funding

By Ethan Faverino |

Congressman Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ06) announced last week that his re-election campaign has entered the final quarter of 2025 with a daunting $2.3 million cash on hand, signaling strong momentum as he seeks a third term.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from Arizonans who believe in our mission to deliver results, not rhetoric,” said Congressman Ciscomani. “With more than $2.3 million cash on hand, it sends a clear message: Southern Arizona is fired up to keep this seat red and focused on commonsense solutions. While others are busy playing politics, we’re building momentum, delivering wins, and earning the trust of the people we serve.”

The campaign’s financial strength follows a strong third quarter, with Ciscomani raising over $600,000 in Q3 alone.

To date, the campaign has raised nearly $3 million for the 2026 cycle, significantly surpassing its 2024 cycle performance when Ciscomani had $1.8 million cash on hand and $2.25 million raised at a similar point.

The growing campaign funds show deep and expanding support for Ciscomani across Arizona’s 6th Congressional District, which spans portions of five different counties.

Ciscomani has won back-to-back victories in the highly competitive district. In 2022, he flipped the seat by a narrow 1.4% margin (5,232 votes), and in 2024, he expanded his lead, securing re-election by 2.5% (over 10,800 votes).

Ciscomani serves on the House Appropriations and Veterans’ Affairs Committees and was named the most effective member of Arizona’s congressional delegation in the 118th Congress earlier this year by the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking.

His commitment to addressing key issues—such as economic opportunity, veterans’ services, and border security— has solidified his reputation as a pragmatic leader delivering for Southern Arizona.

Ciscomani Named Most Effective Lawmaker In Arizona

By Matthew Holloway |

Republican Congressman Juan Ciscomani (CD-06) was named the most effective lawmaker from Arizona in the 118th Congress by the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL) on Thursday. This ranking places Ciscomani among the top-performing lawmakers in the nation. The Tucson Republican stands with the accolades of the 15th most effective legislator overall in the House of Representatives, the third most effective among freshmen Congressmen, and the highest ranking in the Arizona Caucus, followed by Reps. Paul Gosar (R-AZ-09) and Andy Biggs (R-AZ-05), rounding out the top three.

“It’s about getting the job done,” said Ciscomani in a statement. “I was sent to Congress by my constituents to deliver common sense, lasting results for the people of Arizona’s 6th Congressional District, and that is exactly what I’m doing. Being recognized as one of the most effective lawmakers in the House during my freshman term is an honor and a reflection of that mission.”

Ciscomani serves on the House Appropriations and House Veterans’ Affairs committees. He was ranked by the joint partnership between the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy in the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University, with Vanderbilt announcing with the report that Ciscomani and the other leading members “were able to find ways to get their initiatives passed into law despite deep political disruptions in 2023 and 2024, and despite widespread public perception of gridlock in the nation’s Capitol.”

“Whether it’s pushing legislation to secure the border, support our veterans, safeguard Arizona’s water, or protecting our seniors, I don’t take no for an answer,” the Congressman added. “I am proud of what my office and I were able to accomplish for our constituents in my first term, and I am keeping my foot on the pedal to do even more for our district in my second term.”

The CEL cited Ciscomani’s record during the 118th Congress stating that he introduced 24 pieces of substantive legislation with six of these passing and two getting signed into law.

Rep. Ciscomani Defends Trump-Supporting Women In Response To Insult By Mark Cuban

Rep. Ciscomani Defends Trump-Supporting Women In Response To Insult By Mark Cuban

By Daniel Stefanski |

A southern Arizona Member of Congress responded to an insult from a Democrat surrogate in the closing days of the 2024 General Election.

Last week, U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani issued a statement in reaction to comments made by Mark Cuban, who is supporting the Democrat candidate for President of the United States, Kamala Harris. Cuban, who was on The View, ignited national outrage when he said, “Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever.”

Soon after those words from Cuban were uttered, Ciscomani posted a picture of a number of women around him, including his wife and daughter, writing, “Proud to have strong and intelligent women supporting our campaign and defending this seat. I was raised by a strong woman, am married to a strong woman, and honored to have the support of strong women!”

Ciscomani’s wife, Laura, also responded to Cuban, saying, “First woman in my family to obtain higher ed, graduated from Stanford with high honors, and I have master’s degree too. By the way, I can deadlift more than what Mark Cuban weighs.”

The freshman Republican legislator is locked in a heated battle for a reelection bid with Democrat Kirsten Engel – a rematch from the 2022 November General Election. That year, Ciscomani won by fewer than 6,000 votes.

Ciscomani has received a number of endorsements from local and national organizations for his reelection bid, including the Tucson Police Officers Association, National Border Patrol Council, AZCOPS, Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Americans for Prosperity, National Federation of Independent Business, Republican Jewish Coalition, and AIPAC. Individuals supporting Ciscomani include Greenlee County Sheriff PJ Allred, Town of Willcox Mayor Mike Laws, City of Benson Mayor Joe Konrad, and City of Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland.

The winner of this contest for Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District will be critical for control of the U.S. House of Representatives in the 119th Congress.

Democratic Congressional Candidate Confuses Which District She’s Running In

Democratic Congressional Candidate Confuses Which District She’s Running In

By Corinne Murdock |

Democratic congressional candidate Kirsten Engel has confused which district she’s running in, marking the second year and second congressional race in a row of similar oversights to the district she aims to represent.

On Tuesday, Engel posted about her weekend activities purportedly in the sixth congressional district — except, all of the events took place in the seventh congressional district.

“Busy weekend in #AZ06!” said Engel.

The canvass with Tucson Mayor Regina Romero took place at the mayoral candidate’s headquarters — 2720 E. Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716. The tailgate for the University of Arizona (UArizona) Homecoming took place at the University of Arizona Mall (85721). The UArizona Law awards ceremony granting Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick the Lifetime Achievement Award took place at the James E. Rogers College of Law — 1201 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85721.

None of those events were in the sixth congressional district.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) was among the first to notice Engel’s mistake. NRCC spokesperson Ben Petersen said in a statement that Engel’s oversight amounted to disrespect — especially since she made a similar mistake last year.

“Extreme liberal Kirsten Engel refuses to stop disrespecting 6th district voters. The 7th Congressional District is as close as Engel will come to representing the 6th, especially given she can’t find it on a map,” said Petersen.

In July, Engel claimed she was mobilizing her local grassroots support and hearing the concerns of voters within her district — yet posted a picture from the Bisbee Pride Parade, which is outside of the district.

“It’s been an exhausting but exhilarating first couple of months on the campaign trail,” said Engel. “I’ve loved traveling throughout Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, and Pinal counties — talking to voters, hearing their concerns, and mobilizing grassroots support.

Engel faced a similar issue with district engagement and recognition last year.

Last September, while running against now-Rep. Juan Ciscomani for the sixth district, Engel held a campaign event at Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson — outside the sixth district — immediately after skipping a debate with Ciscomani.

Several months prior, the Arizona Daily Independent reported that Engel and her primary opponent Daniel Hernandez opted to host their debate outside the sixth district as well.
